In March, the Ambassador Sammut visited San Ġorġ Preca Primary School, Pieta, in collaboration with Tiny Teen Science Café, to speak about the role of a Policy Scientist, food, and science in general, with the aim of providing information on STEM fields to the younger generations.

Ms Sammut met several classes of different ages to speak about food and sustainable choices. The discussion revolved around the Apple, which was used as a basis for discussing the broader themes of food choices, science, sustainability and health. Ambassador Sammut gave a brief presentation covering the importance of the apple, from a health and nutritional perspective, but also in its role as a symbol in culture, science and story.

These talks serve as an important contact point with our future generations and decision makers. It was an opportunity not only to convey the message of sustainable and healthy nutrition, but also to have a conversation and listen to the ideas and challenges of young students.
